Rochester Hills Junior Women’s Club (RJWC) hosted their BINGOmania event on Wednesday, September 25, 2017 at the River Crest Banquet facility in Rochester Hills.  Over 100 attendees played numerous games of Bingo, bid on raffle items and enjoyed appetizers and a sundae bar.

In addition to straight Bingo, there were several unusual games including “H”, “X”, and even four corners.  Attendees were able to buy additional wooden Bingo cards to better their chances of winning a white elephant gift provided by people attending the event.  Attendees could also purchase sets of three paper Bingo cards to win fabulous community donated prizes at special games throughout the night.

There was a Chinese raffle with numerous donated items from merchants in the community.  There were wine baskets, jewelry, Dream Dinners gift certificates, S’more Maker with ingredients, two tickets to An American in Paris, OU Basketball tickets and swag, scarves, perfume, and even a chance to have lunch with Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett.

Being the week before Halloween, several guests chose to dress in costume.  We had 1950’s Pink Ladies, Witches, Rosie the Riveter, Super Heroes, Super Fans, Minnie Mouse, Queen of Hearts, Bingo Lady and even a leopard. Our number callers were hilarious and really kept the laughs coming.

Money raised from this event goes directly to our charities:  Sew Much Comfort, OUCares, Career Dress and Police Law Enforcement Association (PLEA).

A special thanks to Team Bingo and everyone who helped with this event.

What needs to be done to make this a successful year and to meet our financial commitments? How do we increase awareness of the club within the community? How do we better focus on “serving the community”? How do we engage our new and veteran members, as well as, inspire new members to join?
