1 Million Volunteer Hours
The mission of the Rochester Junior Women’s Club (RJWC) is to promote opportunities for women to connect with and support each other while improving our community through volunteer service.
Our club is completely composed of volunteers. With no paid staff and minimal overhead, each year we organize several fundraisers in support of our mission.
We are the women making a difference in the Greater Rochester Area.
The RJWC was established in 1956 with 16 members and today has more than 85 members who come together in support of one another and our community.
The RJWC has contributed to the growth and vitality of the community through volunteer service and donation of funds to local charities and organizations. Since its inception, the RJWC has contributed more than 1 million hours of community service and raised more than $1 million to support the local community.
Members of RJWC have helped found many institutions in the Rochester community; Rochester Community House, Crittenton Hospital, Rochester Hills Public Library, Rochester YMCA, Older Persons Commission (OPC) and the League of Women Voters all were started with the support of club members.
